Design Our activewear and dancewear is designed and created by girls, for girls. Our range consists of age appropriate clothing that helps girls feel comfortable and confident, enabling them to focus on living a happy, active life. People Our clothing is manufactured responsibly and ethically in Bali, Indonesia. Each employee in our factory receives above minimum wage plus overtime (including one extra month’s salary per year), healthcare and a freshly cooked healthy meal for lunch every day. This is extremely important to us, as without these talented people, our brand would simply not exist. Environment We are dedicated to reducing our impact on the environment. That’s why we use fabric made from discarded waste like fishing nets recovered from the ocean. Our beautiful planet doesn’t need another fast fashion, clothing brand that clogs up landfills with unsold stock, so we only manufacture a limited number of pieces in order to reduce waste. All of our packaging is made from plants and is 100% compostable. We send orders in compostable satchels that have passed Australia’s stringent AS5810 certified home requirements, which includes a worm toxicity test, so they’re even worm farm friendly. Once you've opened your order, simply take off the shipping label and pop the satchel in with your food scraps. The satchel will biodegrade within 90 days in a regular home composting process. Established in 2019 in Melbourne, Australia. As parents of young girls, we are passionate about producing comfortable, age appropriate and environmentally friendly activewear that helps girls feel confident and stylish while dancing, training, exercising or even hanging out with friends. Our clothing has been designed by girls, for girls and is available in a range of colours in sizes 6-16. Our girls love to dance. We originally set-out to model the look, feel and brand around our girls love of dance, however our clothes have since evolved to broader activewear while keeping the strong dance-wear origins. We found that there were few options to choose from when shopping for dance/activewear in the tween and teenage girls market in Australia, that were also sustainable and age appropriate. So we created smoov active to meet those needs. Girls similar to ours, are becoming conscious of how and where their clothes are made and their impact on the environment. We are a boutique brand (a husband and wife team based in Melbourne, Australia). We do not mass produce our activewear range. All clothes are designed here in Melbourne and are manufactured in Bali, Indonesia under strict, ethical standards. The S and the M in smoov are our girls first names — Skye and Mille.
