My name is Yenny Veloz and I am the founder of For Real Interiors and Decor. I am a mother of three kids, an 'adult child' I call my husband and a furry baby…. yes, it is pretty busy in my household! My interest for design started very early on when I became a home owner back in … ages ago. I always loved for the place we live in to look, feel and smell like a home. This was kind of easy when it was only my husband and I, but a bit more challenging when the little ones started to pop (literally)! Since then, my approach to design has not been the same. I no longer fall for whatever looks nice, or is 'trendy' but my space flows, furniture pieces and even decorations also need to pass the practicality test. I would not call myself a minimalist, but certainly, almost everything in my home is either useful, or makes me happy; otherwise it is out! I would like to think that I always had a good 'eye' for design and home decoration. But it was not until last year, after health complications, that I decided to leave behind a long career in banking and finance, and I decided to formally educate myself as an Interior Designer. One thing led to another, and as a leap of faith, For Real Interiors and Decor was born. As a person, I can say that being helpful to others give me great satisfaction. Making people happy makes me happy. I am a customer service advocate, and I firmly believe in 'karma' bad and good, so always try to profess kindness. So what better outlet than helping real people to bring their ideas of a better home to life!
