Our little shop is real, and occupies the 1915 former schoolhouse in Napoleons (VIC), just a few minutes South of Ballarat. It was the Sago On Tuesdays bindery, and transitioned in 2020 when we wanted to make the change. We are a tiny enterprise, and complex: growing, making, mending, working, learning are all pillars we work upon, with a strong ethical standpoint of No Plastic where we can.
With adult children and two lifetimes of education, training, quilting, bookbinding, commerce, outdoor pursuits, arboriculture and horticulture behind us, the opportunity to extend our then-20yo hort services business to include a retail space presented in 2020. We want to share our strengths, weaknesses and accomplishments in the garden and the kitchen, and to promote a cleaner way of growing and consuming.
